Barcoding Options for use with Pinnacle

PDA Barcode Reader (Pinnacle Pro only)

• Scans location and part tags for:
  • stocktaking (missing parts can be deleted from the system through the device)
  • locating parts
  • viewing part details (the ability to edit part details is in development)
• Scans delivery tags for the manifest system - checking parts onto a truck and marking it as loaded
• This is for use with a wireless PDA and needs to be connected to the sites wireless network to function as all updates to stock is real-time
• As well as wireless capabilities, the PDA need to have a scanner either built-in or connected via bluetooth
• The PDA is required to have a Windows operating system (CE 5 – 6.5 Supported)
• The recommended models for use is the Motorola MC55 and MC65 Enterprise Digital Handheld PC.

Voyager Bluetooth Scanner (Pinnacle Pro only)

• Scans orders (quotes/workorders/invoices/credits) to bring that order up on the screen
• Scans part tags for the options of viewing/editing the part on your screen, or adding the part to a new workorder (or existing workorder if one is open)
• Scans delivery tags for the options of opening the workorder it relates to, viewing/editing the part it relates to, or moving the part to dispatch (processing it to remove it from the workorder manager)
• Scans MVR tags to update the status of it's location, arrival date, de-pollution date, dismantling date or crushed date
• This scanner can be taken out of bluetooth range from it's base (which is connected to a PC running Pinnacle Pro) and the subsequent scanned data will be uploaded once back in range

Tricoder / Cipherlabs / Cassiopeia with scanner attachment (Pinnacle Pro or Classic)

• These scanners are solely for stocktaking and locating parts
• They do not update the system in real-time – a file is created on the device, downloaded to a PC and then uploaded in to Pinnacle
• The Cassiopeia is no longer available to purchase but sites already using one can have the program needed for using with Pinnacle installed
